Wake Surfing in Michigan
This weekend, I had the opportunity to speak at Orchard Grove 's Youth Camp outside of Detroit, Michigan. I had a great time with the leaders, adolescents, and the camp staff. In addition to meetings every night and hang time for meals or free time, a couple of highlights included paintball and wake surfing.
With a team junior high daughter together (none of whom had never played paintball), my team beat a team all Guy Junior High which included an adult (sorry for shooting your finger bad, Vince) and a type of school (hope the bruise on the elbow is the best, Jesse).How do we beat them twice? The girls left the boys are shooting all their balls while they waited patiently behind trees and logs. Only then they took their shots! It was fun!
Lead Pastor, Chris Cramer, taught me to surf wake. Have you seen it? Chris began by standing on his board on the platform of the ship, then slipped into the water, surfing (without the rope and just a couple of feet behind the back of the boat), then landed on the platform after about 10 minutes. He never even got wet above the waist! I When I grow up I want to wake surf like him!The water was freezing! There are just two months, the same lake was still covered with ice!
