Aston Martin Rapide breaks cover in Frankfurt

First shown as a concept in 2006, four-door Aston Martin car, the Rapide is now on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show in production form. The Rapide is said to cost £ 150,000 and will be received by the customers first in May 2010.

The car is equipped with a built-6-liter V12. Its 470 hp maximum power is delivered at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque 443 pounds ft at 5,000 rpm. Aston Martin continues to add improvements to the car, the last was a clear height of 40 mm further.Chief executive Dr Ulrich Bez, Rapid described as the culmination "of the range Aston Martin sports car, a car that seals the rebirth of a brand really admired." He boasts that he is now "an Aston Martin for every taste and every time." He said with the arrival of the Rapide, the family is now able to enjoy all their Aston Martin. He talked about visibility, and "new levels of comfort, elegance and entertainment." The Fast has a luggage compartment 301 liters allowing four passengers to carry bags soft and even sets of skis.The car will be available throughout all of the 125 Aston Martin dealers.

Aston Martin Rapide – Four-Door Sports Car

Aston Martin Rapide Concept was revealed in 2006 at Detroit Auto Show. Now in 2009 the final version of Rapide is revealed at IAA Frankfurt. This is one of the most awaited cars of 2009.

The three most important for Aston Martin things are available in the Rapide – Power, Beauty and Soul.

A hand-built 6.0-litre V12 engine is taking care for the “Power” by producing 470bhp and 600N/m of torque. The gearbox is six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic, which allows the driver to change gears automatically or manually via the steering column-mounted magnesium paddles.

The “Beuaty” is obvious – like in every other Aston Martin. The Rapide is so elegant and nicely made that is astonishing. The proportions of the car are just perfect.

When you are sitting behind the steering wheel of an Aston Martin, you can actually feel the “Soul” of the car. It is not only a pile of beautifully sculptured iron, it is “alive”.

Although we don’t appreciate the idea of a sports car with 4 doors, we can’t deny that the Rapide is a masterpiece.

First deliveries of Aston Martin Rapide will commence early in 2010.
