PetaPixel: Could you tell me a little about yourself?
Larry Treadway: A brief history, the work of graphic designer for about 19 years, I took a retirement "early harvest" of local government to host a talk show for a few years when the "internets" and I hit back graphic arts doing web design and advertising. Somewhere out there while a few that I managed then owned a bar that bad music and cheap beer. Ultimately landed in the field of health care through marketing, advertising and design. Analog Photography is the disconnect from my work-life digital. Plastic cameras are bad my kind of rebellion to the abundance of computers, monitors and peripherals necessary for me to make a living. I tried to be an artist of some sort over my life, photography Crossing screaming in a loud band punk rock that I had this need to express something ... basically I could not get a lot of different things. Try being a decent father, instigator Internet and creative type using photography as a tool to help achieve these.

PP: How did you first in photography?
LT: I'll try to keep some of sentimentality to a minimum here, but as a child I was raised by my grandparents and my grandmother kept a box of old photos in black and white for most . I was somewhat obsessed with watching this case in the history of the family dispersed. About 11 years I received a camera for Christmas. At about 17, I had another, a 35mm SLR.I shot it, read a lot, pulled over, look at the books of Edward Weston and images constantly discovered Arbus, Meatyard, Bresson ... started listening to music the most extreme reading about artists tormented and finally found a part-time job developing black and white film for an office of public information which allowed me access to my own thing. From there I took some photo work freelance and as I went to school and learned more about the design that the two things at the end, collided for me professionally.I am drawn to imagery and design in much the same way but I do not do commercial photography that seems to be what I consider "my art." I do not know if I really answered the question, the simplest answer, I just myself got into it, studied, practiced and shot ... and I still do all these things 25 years later....
