One of the largest paintball championships in the United States, the PSP World Cup, will be held Oct. 7-11 at the Fantasy of Flight attraction in Auburndale.
The event is expected to bring more than 5,000 competitors and an additional 5,000 spectators to the area, according to a Polk County government news release. County officials say the event could generate more than 11,000 room nights and a significant amount of daily visitation from paintball enthusiasts, creating a potential economic impact of more than $6 million.
Competition will take place each day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to most fields is free, with the pro field admission being $10.
"This event couldn't come at a better time," said Polk County Commissioner Bob English, chairman of the Polk County Tourist Development Council. "In light of the state's sagging tourism revenues, the PSP World Cup represents an important economic shot in the arm for Polk County and the state of Florida."
PSP hosts five events throughout the year, in places such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Charlotte, N.C. The World Cup is the largest event for paintball competitors and also is considered to be the most prestigious paintball tournament in the United States. 1. If you are practicing good teamwork and maneuvers, yes. Otherwise, not. Paintball is nothing like a real firefight.
2 & 3. Never been to Indiana.
4. Tippman are the best, but they are expensive. Try to find a Pyrhanna (I think that's how they spell it) or Spyder. Well, still a reasonable price. Also good for beginners.
6. There is no sign of mask is better than another because they all have to do the same thing, protect your face. I would try to find one that goes a quarter inch or so from the edge of your face. you want to protect from paintballs strangely angled.Also, look for one that has holes look real in front of the mouth, rather than just a group of indentations. This will really help him breathe.
7. Google Maps just that. I do not know exactly where you live in Indiana, it is preferable for you to do exactly that. It should say amateur or beginner somewhere. Otherwise, try to find some pictures to see the configuration. If obstacles are great and offer lots of armor, then it is for beginners. Beginners do not know how to use fully the barriers, if they are given more to better protect them. The obstacles become smaller as you learn to use them more effectively.

What paintball gun would best fit my needs?
I want a paintball gun from $ 100 - $ 200 for recreation with friends. We made our own area in the woods and did very well. I already have a mask, co2 tank, hopper, pods, etc. Now all I need is a weapon that will fall into this atmosphere that I play in.
